Many people in the past modelled their leadership style on military or sports heroes but today's  organisational leader needs a very different approach. Our coaching conversations are business focused with clearly defined objectives and associated outcomes, and are the best way forward in a range of situations. 

 

  • Develop individual potential.  Our coaches are skilled in helping you to "label" your strengths, identify your derailers and "hot spots", and to explore, determine and move towards your authentic leadership brand.

Delivering through others and being able to influence and persuade a diverse and wide network of people are core components in the kitbag of today's leaders, and yet many retreat or revert to the "expert" role when under pressure.

For executive coaching to be truly effective the client must trust the coach in order to open up and reveal more themselves in order to get the most out of the coaching experience, and the executive coach must have the experience, skills and tools to create passion purpose and results.

Below are some tips for choosing a coach:

  • Corporate experience – a coach must have a real understanding of what it’s like to work in a large corporate environment, although which sector this is in is not so important.

  • Coaching expertise – a good coach will be able to demonstrate their depth of experience and have a recognised qualification.  

  • Confidentiality and chemistry - people must feel confident they can confide in their coach and that this will always be confidential. Break this and trust will be lost.

  • Challenge and support – a coach must be prepared to challenge but also support people – a mix of tough questioning and empathy is needed in equal doses

 

We have confidence in the expertise and professionalism of all our coaches. We usually recommend a program of at least 6 coaching conversations over a 3-6 month period but we would be delighted to talk through your requirements to find you the right coach and the right approach.
